By making a reservation and staying at Misty Meadows Homestay, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These are designed to ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests.
1. Booking and Reservation
- All bookings are subject to availability and will be confirmed only after receiving an advance payment.
- Guests must provide accurate information during booking including number of guests, duration of stay, and special requests (if any).
- Rates may vary depending on season, occupancy and promotional offers.
2. Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in: Between 12:00 PM and 11:00 PM
- Check-out: Between 09:00 AM and 10:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
3. Identification Requirements
All guests must provide valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) at the time of check-in. Foreign nationals must present a valid passport and visa.
4. Guest Conduct
- Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, property and fellow guests.
- Parties or events are not allowed without prior written permission.
- Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Any damage to property, intentional or otherwise, will be charged to the guest.
5. Occupancy
- Children of all ages are welcome.
- No extra beds are available.
- Smoking is permitted only in designated areas or rooms as specified.
- Pets are not allowed on the premises.
6. Payment and Cancellation Policy
- A deposit/advance is required to confirm the booking.
- The remaining amount must be settled at check-in unless otherwise agreed.
- Cancellation Policy: 30+ days before check-in: 60% refund | 16–30 days before check-in: 30% refund | Within 15 days: No refund
No refund will be issued for early check-out, no-shows or unused services due to weather, transport delays or any personal reasons.
7. Liability
- Misty Meadows is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of guests’ belongings.
- Guests are advised to take proper care of their personal valuables.
- Use of property facilities (such as balcony, kitchen, or fireplace) is at guests' own risk.
8. Safety and Emergency
- Fire safety measures are in place. Please follow instructions in case of emergency.
- A caretaker or emergency contact will be available on-site or on-call.
- Guests are expected to inform staff immediately in case of illness or injury.
9. Wi-Fi and Utilities
- Free Wi-Fi is available for guest use.
- Misuse of internet services (e.g., illegal downloads) is strictly prohibited and will result in disconnection.
10. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations or disruptions in service due to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, pandemics or any other unforeseen events beyond our control.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Government of India and any disputes shall be handled under the jurisdiction of the Kodaikanal/Tamil Nadu courts.
